Use this course to build skills you need to successfully prepare for and deploy a digital financial service (DFS). Learn how to distribute DFS using an agent network, too. Find out how to select the right agents, ensure that your agents are motivated to serve your customers, and monitor and support your agents to ensure consistent quality of service.
As you will see, getting the agent network management strategy right is a critical success factor for any DFS deployment.
When you have successfully completed this course, you will be able to:
Describe what is happening globally in the DFS and financial inclusion sectors, and suggest DFS strategies that improve financial inclusion
Use the Helix DFS constraints framework to analyse your internal and external environment and what this means for your DFS implementation
Describe the agency banking distribution model and evaluate its success factors
Discuss commissions and other pricing considerations in agency banking
Describe liquidity management issues in agency banking, taking into consideration rebalancing issues
Explain how to calculate upfront capital
Explain the role of the master agent and discuss pros and cons of using the master agent management hierarchy
Provide examples of approaches to agent training
Describe types of agency banking fraud and give recommendations for addressing each type.
This online course will require around 3 to 4 hours every week, over a period of 5 weeks for a total learning time between 15 and 20 hours. You should log in and contribute regularly.
